Spent Christmas holidays in a cozy little place with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The continental breakfast was way more than enough to fill us up. The location was perfect, right in the middle of a mall and a famous restaurant. It was an added bonus to have Wi-Fi free of charge since we were able to stay online and upload our holiday photos with ease.
Honestly, I don't have any negative feedback to give. The bed, bathroom, and everything in the room were clean and well-maintained.

Helpful and accommodating staff
I arrived at San Jose Hostal tired and hungry after a long flight. Despite the late hour, the staff arranged a pickup from the airport, which was prompt and seamless. They even went the extra mile and tried to secure a spot for me on a tour, showing their dedication to helping their guests. Although the breakfast was simple, it was satisfying and served in a pleasant outdoor area. The free wifi throughout the hotel was an added bonus. I had a positive experience at San Jose Hostal and would stay there again.

the breakfast served was a great touch and saved us some money. the location was in a safe area and there were a few restaurants nearby which was convenient.
Uncomfortable Rooms and Noisy Surroundings the rooms were uncomfortable and small, making it hard to move around in. To add to the discomfort, the surroundings were really noisy, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and tourist attractions, this hostel offers genuine kindness and welcoming staff. the rooms are clean, bright, and visually appealing. Guests enjoy delicious breakfast, free Wi, Fi and coffee, and a family atmosphere. the staff is extremely helpful, arranging day trips to see several attractions in the country, so guests can make the most of their stay.
One aspect that needs some improvement is the lack of English, speaking staff, which may be an issue for non, Spanish speakers.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Best aspects include friendly staff, secure property, and comfy rooms with AC. We were given a free bottle of water upon arrival, and the 24-hour front desk was very helpful. Restaurants and local eateries are nearby.
